They surround us and fill us from the day we are born.
They can shape our days and they can break our days.
We can’t help but to absorb them.
Some of them are so lovely to the ear and rolling off the tongue,
that we add those words to the pages of our treasury.
We dog ear the pages so that we can visit them time and again.
Other words are let out thoughtlessly.
They are rash, negligent, empty…they can break our hearts.
We take them in, and they get tangled throughout the pages of our inner book.
And if we let them stay, the center of our book becomes tattered.
So if we can’t help but to take in these words that surround us, we must daily
flip through our pages and choose to erase the empty ones,
so that at the center love remains.
